As the exploration phase of the ALICE project reaches completion, its partners are seizing the opportunity of the upcoming Annecy International Animation Film Festival’s Market (MIFA) to present selected proposals to industry professionals and answer questions.

On June 17, from 2pm to 3pm, the event will bring together the following animation experts from ALICE: Mar Sáez Pedrero from the Federation of audiovisual producers PROA (Catalonia), Philippe Reynaert representing the film fund Wallimage (Wallonia) as well as the Head of the unit in charge of the Creative Media program. In three pre-recorded interviews, the speakers will talk about the project’s achievements and relevance to the 2021-2027 Creative Europe Media program.

The session will be moderated by Flore de Bayser (Wallimage), and introduced by Godefroy Vujicic, CEO of the film fund Pictanovo as well as Jordi B. Oliva, Chairman of PROA. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with the speakers during a live Q&A session with special guest Iván Agenjo, Chairman at ProAnimats.

The participants will provide an overview of selected proposals resulting from nearly two years of studies carried out by ALICE. These proposals focus on finding ways to lift the barriers to co-producing animated films in Europe and to improve the European animation sector’s global competitiveness. Later this summer, a series of policy recommendations will be released.
