On Wednesday the 23rd June, the EU_SHAFE partner Development Centre of the Heart of Slovenia, with the organisational support of ECHAlliance, hosted the on-line Inter-regional policy learning event on Domain 3: Communication and information, which was attended by the EU-SHAFE partners, municipalities, politicians and age friendly organizations from Slovenia and across Europe.

During the workshop, partners and guests shared the lessons learned and collected good practices in different regions participating in the EU_SHAFE project and related to the WHO age-friendly cities and communities domain addressing communication and information. Four good practices from Slovenia have also been presented by their initiators all focussed on the communication and information tools and methods for elderly to improve their quality of life.

The meeting has been closed by a lively panel discussion addressing the importance of communication for and about the elderly.

Main conclusions reached by the panelists spotted light on the need to link local initiatives with incentives at national level so to facilitate the scale up to different territories of local good practices and successful experiences.
