Members of the Louth EU_SHAFE LAG in Aarhus

The 7th meeting of the Local Action Group, Ireland took place on the 27th October 2021. This was the first face to face meeting held by the group since January 2021 and it was nice to be able to meet and talk face to face.

At the beginning of the meeting the Project Co-ordinator updated those assembled on the project including the 6-month extension, the recent visit to Aarhus and the upcoming visit to Coimbra.  There was also a discussion around the Action Plan for Phase II with some useful input from the stakeholders.

The main part of the meeting was taken up with the assessment of the Good Practices in Domain 4, Health and Community Services and the Good Practices under the Cross Cutting Theme.

Prior to the meeting a summary of all of the Good Practices along with a copy of the survey questions was sent out to participants and hard copies were available on the day of the meeting. The EU_SHAFE Co-ordinator presented each Good Practice in turn using the slides provided by each partner.  There was a lively and engaging discussion on the pros and cons of each project including cost, differences in regional structures and how transferrable each Good Practice is.

Overall, the stakeholders group showed a positive interest in all of the projects and while it was agreed that some were less likely to be replicable in Louth, all of the Good Practices had elements which were inspiring to the group. It was agreed that the Project Co-ordinator would upload the survey results.
