Today, the EU launched a dedicated call to support small cities and towns municipalities to incubate New European Bauhaus projects in their communities.

The New European Bauhaus aims to transform the European Green Deal into a cultural, human-centered, positive, and tangible experience for everyone by promoting the transformation and adaptation of our cities across Europe through beautiful, sustainable, and inclusive spaces.

Until 23 May 2022 (17:00 CEST), small and medium-sized local authorities (under 100 thousand inhabitants) are invited to submit their inspiring project proposals to foster the three complementary values of the New European Bauhaus: Sustainability, Aesthetics, and Inclusion.

Specifically, the New European Bauhaus is looking to promote projects in the following four action areas:

- Renovation of existing buildings and public spaces in a spirit of circularity and carbon neutrality;

- Preservation and transformation of cultural heritage;

- Adaptation and transformation of buildings for affordable housing solutions;

- Regeneration of urban or rural spaces.

This call is funded by the EU through the Directorate-General for Regional and Urban Policy and implemented in collaboration with Ramboll Management Consulting.
