Ministry for Regional Development and Transport of Saxony-Anhalt celebrated an exchange meeting with RFC and RENATUR, Interreg projects, to discuss possible synergies among them with the focus on finding out thematic connections.

For instance, the use of cultural heritage as an interface for strengthening regional development, the strength of the urban-rural cooperation, or the reduction of competition between both regions, learning and benefit from each other.

Some interesting connections between MOMAr and RFC were established, taking into account that both projects are concerned about cultural heritage sites that are not a sufficient part of city life (RFC) or rural life (MOMAr) and in some cases have no function and are therefore no longer in the consciousness of citizens.

The attendees to the meeting were Lucas Fenger, MOMAr project manager from the Ministry of Saxony-Anhalt, Nadine Schulz, former RENATUR project manager from the Ministry of Saxony-Anhalt, Josephine Kroneberg, RFC project manager from the city planning office Magdeburg and Stephan Herrmann, Head of Department Urban Renewal from the city planning office Magdeburg.
