A breakthrough for green energy in Lithuania | Interreg Europe

The Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania, on 28th June 2022, approved a package of legislative amendments aimed at implementing the smooth and rapid development of green energy, reducing bureaucratic hurdles and excessive restrictions for solar and wind power plants, and creating favourable conditions for the growth of the number of prosumers, encouraging the creation of energy communities and responding to the needs of citizens.

The Ministry of Energy will allocate almost €1 billion for green energy development and energy efficiency by 2030. The amendments aim at the successful implementation of investments in green energy projects.
