The improvement of the performance of PPW waste sorting has a positive impact on the cost-benefit balance of waste collection systems. How so?

The consortium of COLLECTORS, which includes ACR+, is happy to announce the first in a series of three webinars that will summarise the project's findings. In this first webinar - Improving the collection of paper and packaging waste: what impact on costs? - to take place on 30 April 2020 at 15:00 CE, partners and experts will highlight innovative approaches to paper and packaging waste collection systems such as Pay-As-You-Throw (PAYT) and Know-As-You-Throw (KAYT) systems which are gaining more visibility in several regions of Europe.

The webinar will showcase COLLECTORS’ work performing cost and benefit analyses of several case studies to illustrate how improving the performance of PPW waste sorting impacts the cost-benefit balance of waste collection systems. The webinar will address the following question: can the selective collection be improved without increasing neither the general cost of the collection system nor the waste fee for citizens?
