On 25 May 2020, ALICE’s partners Wallimage (Wallonia’s film fund) and Pictanovo (the film fund of the Hauts-de-France region) had a conference call, as part of the “Legal and Finance” working group.
The meeting focused on the preparation of the French/ Belgian case-study#1, a collaborative project between Dreamwall (Wallonia) and MadLab (Hauts-de-France), both of which are owned by the Media Participation group. Drawing on the experience of the two studios, the study aims at facilitating collaboration and talent mobility.
Wallimage confirmed the Media Participation group’s interest in participating in the study. In collaboration with Pictanovo, they plan to organize a consultative session where the studios can share experiences and work together on policy recommendations supporting talent mobility within partnerships. The participants have already been identified and the meeting should take place between June 8-11.
The next step will be to meet with the selected Legal Council, who will be able to determine the legal feasibility of the proposals as well as give advice for implementation.
The methodology tested for case-study#1 will serve as a basis to carry out two other case-studies, the first one dealing with a collaboration between Poland and Slovakia, and the second one between Italy and Spain.
