The IEA Foundation has attended the largest debate on water and agriculture in the presentation of  iAgua Magazine 23: irrigation, continuous modernization. About 200 attendees have witnessed this event, public authorities, hydrographic confederations, irrigator communities, the private sector and politicians, celebrated last 25 th June, in the Palace of Campuzano, in Murcia.

An idyllic event whereby the AQUARES project has been presented in a "face-to-face interaction". The event counted with the intervention of several experts in water management field such as Andrés del Campo, president of Fenacore, in which he assured that "we can be proud of our irrigation”. Mario Urrea, the president of the  Segura River Hydrographic Confederation stated that "irrigation is responsible for 83% of the use of water in agriculture” and ensured that "The Hydrographic Confederations are the ideal bodies for water management, for its protection and control but they must be modernized". For his part, Miguel Angel del Amor, Minister of Water, Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries of the Government of Murcia sent a clear message: Murcia is the land where the deficit becomes opportunity and where agriculture becomes the vanguard.
