The  first Interregional Learning Event  was held on 24-25th October, 2017 in Palma de Mallorca, hosted by the Balearic Islands Tourism Board (ATB) . The theme of the event was "The promotion of tourism products to enhance the visibility, image and market uptake of destinations". The event included a half-day public thematic workshop to present GPs from the different regions on Tuesday 24th October 2017, followed by a restricted focus group for project partners only to evaluate and discuss GPs. The event took place at the premises of the Ministry for Tourism of the Balearic Islands Regional Government.

The focus group deepened the analysis through highly interactive sessions where each GP was separately reviewed. To consolidate learning, the event was complemented on the 25th October afternoon with 3 study visits to operative facilities to get to know some of the proposed Balearic Islands GPs, on the "Better in Winter" promotional strategy, on the Sustainable Tourism Tax and on some of the Tourist Beds Stock Exchange (CBAT) funded projects.

At the end of the group meetings, partners rated the relevance of the regional proposed GPs in a scale from 0 to 5 (from “not relevant” to “most relevant”) based on a checklist with questions on innovativeness, effectiveness, efficiency, sustainability and transferability. The rating identified the most relevant GPs that will be included in the Action Plans to be designed on a later stage.
