BRANDTour’s Lead Partner Tuscany Region has recently held its second meeting with stakeholders at the Regional Headquarters in Florence. On the 20th November 2017, 18 representatives of Municipalities, Destinations, Business Associations, University, etc participated in the event organised by Ms Sivia Burzagli - Head in charge of Regional Tourism Policies - and Ms Teresa Caldarola - project coordinator for the Region.

After the introduction on how to integrate BRANDTour’s outcomes into the regional tourism policies by Ms Burzagli, and an update on the project’s progress by Ms Caldarola, some Good Practices from the event in Palma last October were presented to the audience. BRANDTour's Good Practices were discussed with the stakeholders, and viable ways to transfer the best of them to the tuscan territory were explored.

The discussion was very lively, and several good practices emerged from the stakeholders, in areas either similar or complementary to the BRANDTour policy domains. It is the will of the region to exploit all synergies between internal (i.e. BRANDTour’s) and external (i.e. territorial) contributions to join efforts to innovate the sector through the best of available experiences.

In the opinion of participants in the meeting the BRANDTour project is offering the regional stakeholders a unique opportunity to hear of, know about, reflect upon and benefit from the good practices of other European regions, which can lead to new and smarter opportunities to develop the sector. Stakeholders have agreed that the very methodology of the project – i.e. to organize experience exchange events that can boost change and innovation – should be used within the region, too, to allow different stakeholders circulate their precious knowledge that oftentimes remains hidden and not valorized.
