On the 13th of November, the stakeholders of the Brandtour project met in East-Flanders. Representatives of the Ghent University, Tourism East-Flanders, employers organisation ABS, farmers organisation Boerenbond, the Provincial Government of East-Flanders and the Regional landscape center Meetjesland discussed the project objectives and results.
The best practices of the Brandtour meeting in Mallorca, were presented by Brecht Carels, managing director of the Economic Council of East-Flanders. The wine architecture case of Tuscany and social media strategy case of South-Limburg were found very useful for East-Flanders.
As best practice to present on the meeting in South-Limburg, the stakeholder group decided to talk about the walking and cycling community ‘StapAf’. A good example of communicating through different channels, building ambassadors for a tourist region.
