The 5th Interregional Learning Event will take place in East-Flanders from 9th to 10th of October 2018.
The Economic Council for East-Flanders will host the project partners and their stakeholders in Oudenaarde. The event will take place in the Center Tour of Flanders.
The central theme of the event is: ‘the diversification of tourism products and services to provide more customised packages’. Indeed, tourists demand that products and services are adjusted to their own specific needs. Diversifying the offer and hereby customizing packages is a constant challenge.
The first day of the event (9 October), will start with an opening session by a representative of the Economic Council of East-Flanders and Tourism East-Flanders. Followed by the presentation of presentation of all the six partners. The partners will share a good practices on the central theme, with the each other and with the local stakeholders.
After this, the project partners will do to study visits. One to a local distillery and B&B, on the importance of local products, hosting tourists and tourist information points. A second study visit will go to the Castle of Leeuwergem. The partners will discuss MICE tourism there.
The second day, a project management meeting will take place on administrative, financial and communication issue. In the afternoon, a third and fourth study visit will take place. The project partners will visit a new tourist visit and experience center in Ronse; and will go to an local Brewery to discuss company visits as a tourist asset.
