The Part 2 of the 6th Interregional Learning Event (ILE) of the CAPonLITTER project took place in person, between 18 - 20 April 2022.

With the topic "Coastal recreational events as sources of marine litter and exploring possible policies to improve waste performance and recycling on these occasionst", this event was organized by the Portuguese Partners: LP1 - NOVA School of Science and Technology, NOVA University Lisbon (FCT-NOVA) and PP2 - Portuguese Environment Agency (APA).

Because of the pandemic situation, the event took place online. However, in the beggining of 2022, the COVID-19 restrictions were lifted in certain regions of Europe, and the partners started organizing Study Visits within the CAPonLITTER Project.

The Project Partners were able to choose the Portuguese Good Practices they would like to visit in person, from all the ones presented throughout the different Interregional Learning Events (and not only the ones presented during Part 1 of ILE#6!).

Therefore, the Study Visit to Portugal (part 2 of ILE#6) encompassed visits to Torres Vedras and Oeiras Municipality, as well as to Vila Galé Albacora Hotel in Tavira. This last one included a night at the hotel and a boat tour in the Ria Formosa protected area.

The full agenda of the Study Visit and some photographs can be found here, at the Project's Library.
