The 2-nd CARPE DIGEM project coordination and IRSC Meeting was held on 25-26 November 2019 at Slovenia.
The consortium of 10 partners from 8 European countries and stakeholders participated in two-day events discussing the best practices in digital transformation in rural Europe.
The meeting took place in Svečina, a little village on the fringes of the Slovenske Gorice hills and close to the Austrian border at tourist farm of the Valdhuber family (http://www.valdhuber.si/en/).
Kungota, a small municipality situated in the north-eastern part of Slovenia in the hilly region of Slovenske gorice. The Heart among the Vineyards has taken the image of Svečina and the Slovenske Gorice hills around the world.
The region is known for its vineyards and wines. Around 80% of inhabitants are farmers, primarily traditional winegrowers on family farms. Others work in the service sector such as building construction, electrical infrastructure, carpenters, expanding business also in the larger cross-border Austrian Styria region.
All participants discussed the regional digital transformation solutions.
