The Regional Council of Päijät-Häme held a workshop on 26 January 2023 in Lahti, Finland. On top of the regional stakeholder group, the workshop gathered climate and energy experts and representatives from business sector and municipalities. The Regional Council is coordinating the update of two important programs: the Climate Action Roadmap and the Päijät-Häme Roadmap Towards Circular Economy. Aim is to merge these two into a Green Transition Roadmap. The theme of the workshop was energy, which is one of the five sectors of the new roadmap. The regional Green Transition Roadmap will support municipalities, innovators and businesses to meet carbon neutrality and circular economy goals.
The Finnish CECI team and regional stakeholder group were active in the workshop and provided inputs for the roadmap drafting in terms of collecting challenges, opportunities and actions of the energy sector. The roadmap process continues in close cooperation with stakeholders.
