The European Week of Regions and Cities (EWRC) is an annual four-day event during which cities and regions showcase their capacity to create growth and jobs, implement European Union cohesion policy, and prove the importance of the local and regional level for good European governance.
The European Cultural Tourism Network (ECTN), as the CHRISTA project advisory partner responsible for communications, is organising a side event during EWRC in Brussels on Tuesday, 9 October, 14:00-16:00. At this dissemination event the policy guidelines of CHRISTA project regarding intangible and industrial heritage deployment for sustainable cultural tourism will be presented, as well as initiatives on heritage interpretation and innovation/digitisation for cultural tourism. The CHRISTA lead partner, Pafos Regional Board of Tourism, will present its pilot action within the project. Other pilot actions are by Diputacion de Granada, Spain, and Vidzeme Tourism Association, Latvia.

This event is under the EWRC Thematic cluster: Territorial development (regional, urban, rural).
This CHRISTA project event is also in the frame of European Year of Cultural Heritage 2018 (EYCH2018). ECTN is one of 35 stakeholders for EYCH2018, European networks and institutions, selected by the European Commission DG EAC amonst 310 candidates.
