The 1st meeting between the representatives of the Region of Central Macedonia and the local stakeholder group coming from city’s and region’s museums, hotel associations and cultural institutions was successfully organised in Thessaloniki on 15th November 2016, Electra Palace hotel.
At the beginning of the meeting the representative of Region of Central Macedonia presented an overview of the project and in particular the objectives, the actions and the targets focusing on the importance of involving local stakeholders in the project implementation.
Deputy Head of Tourism and Culture of Central Macedonia, Mr. Thanos thanked all stakeholders for their support and their interest in participating in the project. He also referred to the novelty of creating stakeholder group and involve them in project, as well as stressed the importance of cooperation between the members of this group not only in the context of CHRISTA project, but also in promoting culture in Region of Central Macedonia.
Afterwards, the stakeholders took the floor, firstly presented the agencies and the institutions that they coming from and discussed the ways on how stakeholders can contribute to the implementation of the project.
The stakeholders expressed great interest in the project and showed a strong desire to contribute to the project. During the meeting, several interesting ideas were presented by all parties.
The discussion ended with the agreement of the stakeholders to propose more detailed and specific actions and activities which they deem that should be included in the Action Plan and the manners by which they could contribute to the development and successful implementation of this Plan.
