On Friday, March 25, 2022, at the Ibis Politehnica Hotel in Bucharest, a new event took place within the CISMOB project - Cooperative information platform for low carbon and sustainable mobility, entitled CISMOB Stakeholder Meeting in Bucharest.
During the meeting, Alina Ciolan, Head of the PMUD Coordination Service within Bucharest-Ilfov Inter-Community Development Association for Public Transport (TPBI), gave a presentation on the Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan 2016-2030 for the Bucharest - Ilfov region and on the ITS (Intelligent Transport Systems) project initiated by the association. Nicoleta Jianu, Head of the TPBI Services Contracting Office and project coordinator, also presented the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on public transport, using national and European examples.
The event was also attended by representatives of the Ministry of European Investments and Projects, the Ministry of Development, Public Works and Administration (MDLPA), Ilfov County Council, Bucharest - Ilfov Regional Development Agency (ADRBI). ALSO, representatives of the public passenger transport operators STB SA, STV SA and Regio Serv Transport SRL were also present. The representatives of ADRBI and MDLPA gave a presentation on the Bucharest-Ilfov Regional Operational Program 2021-2027, respectively financing opportunities through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan PNRR.
At the end of the presentations, discussions were held on the opportunities and mechanisms that can be used by the project to support and influence policy instruments, ITS solutions for sustainable mobility and carbon reduction.
The event was organized by ITS Romania, in collaboration with TPBI and is the first local stakeholder meeting in the CISMOB 5th call organized in Romania.
