On 25th of May 2021, the Municipality of Thessaloniki and the Common Benefit Enterprise of Thessaloniki Municipality (KEDITH), organized the final event of the project URBACT III RU:RBAN «Resilient Urban Agriculture and Landscapes».

RU:RBAN closed a two-year transfer process of the Roman model of Urban Gardens Management to the cities of A Coruña, Caen, Krakow, Loures, Thessaloniki and Vilnius. This transfer network builds upon the Good Practice "Management model of Urban gardens in Rome", in order to transfer to geographically distant EU cities and to ensure sharing of experiences to enhance the capacities of local governance. Transfer efforts will be given to three distinct, interlinked, thematic elements that the Good Practice is divided into: Capacity building in organizing urban gardens, inspiring and training people to manage urban gardens (Gardeners) and urban gardens governance and regulations.

Experiences, ideas, knowledge, initiatives and achievements were shared during the final event through the participation of local authorities, ULG members, URBACT representatives and experts, project coordinators and stakeholders. CityZen was presented by the Regional Development Fund of Central Macedonia (RDFCM) on behalf of the Region of Central Macedonia. During the final event Mr. Ioannis Spandos (RDFCM) had the opportunity to present “CityZen”, (Interreg Europe 2014-2020), and disseminate the current achievements of the project. The main source for this presentation came from the three Peer to Peer reviews and the two Impact Workshops of the project.
