CLAY aims at supporting the small and medium enterprises of the ceramic sector in order to boost competitiveness through new technologies, strengthened brands and services, new products and industrial processes.
Organized by the lead partner Regione Umbria, the kick-off event has the objective of starting-up CLAY activities, getting to know each other and paving the way for the 5 years of project implementation.
It includes the first Interregional Learning Event, the first Study Visit, project Launch event and first Steering Committee.
The study visit will be held in the ceramic cities of Spello and Gualdo Tadino, where CLAY partners and stakeholders will visit Rubboli Museum and participate in a demonstration of the renowned Muffola technique (an unique kiln firing method, particularly suitable for producing metallic lustres).
The second part of the study visit will be dedicated to innovation in the ceramics sector. It will start with a presentation from the director of Ceramiche Rometti in the city of Umbertide.
The Launch Event will be open to a wide audience of local stakeholders. It will provide local stakeholders with an overview of the project and its partners, before sharing a number of expert inputs on the theme of innovation in ceramics.
