The second Regional Stakeholders Group Meeting was held in Horezu City, Valcea County in Romania on the 22nd of April 2019. It was hosted by South-West Oltenia Regional Development Agency. The event was attended by 20 participants, among which 5 regional stakeholders.

In the opening of the meeting were presented the objectives, activities and the impact envisaged, specific to the CLAY project, as well as the details regarding the involvement of the relevant regional actors from the field of artistic ceramic in experience exchanges.

The event continued with a debate on the SWOT analysis of the ceramic sector, carried out within the project, highlighting the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats existing in this field at regional level.

Also, the participating entities were invited to fill in a questionnaire to identify the needs and challenges that limit the competitiveness of the artistic ceramic sector in the region. The questionnaire is also a tool for assessing how stakeholders appreciate the level of innovation in the ceramic sector at regional level, both in terms of importance and in comparison with the general trends, but also an assessment tool of possible synergies between ceramic and other activity sectors.

At the end of the meeting, the participants had the opportunity to discuss their financing needs and the opportunities available were presented. The event ended with a free discussion session on identifying optimal solutions for the development of the ceramic sector at the South-West Oltenia Region level.
