ITECAM, the Metalmechanic Cluster of Castilla-La Mancha, organizes next November 23rd, 2017 the III B2B Industrial Meeting. This event, the most important of its kind in the region, aims to increase the regional competitiveness through the creation of a unique networking space. The ultimate goal is to promote collaboration between companies, leading to the transfer of knowledge, products or processes.

ClusterFY will be actively present in this important event by means of informative sessions about the goals of the project, face-to-face meetings with stakeholders and the organization of a talk on digitalization and the challenges for the industry.

The III B2B Industrial Meeting will bring together the key players in the regional industrial ecosystem of Castilla-La Mancha, including:

  • Leading companies demanding products and services from the industrial sector.
  • Leading agents of the R&D&I ecosystem in Castilla-La Mancha (i.e. Regional Technological Centers).
  • Foreign Promotion Institute of Castilla-La Mancha (IPEX).
  • Research groups of the University of Castilla-La Mancha.

With more than 250 companies registered so far, the objective is to create a vibrant environment to foster collaborations between organizations. It is expected, from the experience of previous editions, that these collaborations will be materialized in strategic partnerships and joint projects at European, national or regional level.

This year, two are the novelties of this B2B meeting compared to previous editions. First, the presence of international companies will enrich the event and widen the scope and opportunities portfolio by means of the participation of international companies and clusters. This is possible thanks to the support of the Regional Government through the IPEX Institute. Second, the establishment of the Innova+ Area as a meeting point for companies and a selection of research groups of the University of Castilla-La Mancha (UCLM). This space is intended to close the gap between academia and industry, and promote the transfer of knowledge.

The agenda of the event comprises a workspace where more than 2000 encounters between companies (suppliers or demanders) will take place. As to the activity of the project, Prof. Juan Carlos López, project leader in Castilla-La Mancha, will chair a session where ClusterFY will be introduced to the attendees. In this session, Mr. José Manuel Leceta, General Director of Red.es will make a presentation with the title “Digital transformation in the industry and ecosystems' role” leading to a debate of the role of KET and cluster initiatives in the new era.
