Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes visits Skane Region to learn about news ways of monitoring clusters
Due to organisational issues following the merging of regions in France, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Region has faced difficulties in involving staff in the exchange of experience process. In order to catch up fast on the learning, the new head of unit « Cluster and Sector policy » together with 2 officers went on a staff exchange to Region Skane on 11-13 February 2019 to benefit from Skane’s experience as well as the learnings from other partners on that topic during the CLUSTERIX 2.0 project. During 2 intensive days, they met with officers from the Economy and Innovation Department of Region Skane as well as clusters representatives. They discovered Region Skane 's new online monitoring tool and their benchmarking on cluster financing. Back in Lyon, they shared this very interesting benchmark with the 22 regional clusters during a one day conference, which helped finding new ways of monitoring clusters and setting new objectives for them. This input was directly used to design Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes’ action plan for the next 2 years to improve its cluster policy.
