On 3rd March 2020 in the seat of Chamber of Commerce Exporters and Importers in Mysłowice, Poland, a meeting with representatives of 9 regional institutions acting in the field of support for SMEs and regional development took place.

The meeting was aimed at intensification of regional collaboration and solutions for current regional challenges and needs of SMEs. During the meeting institutions declared establishment of the Regional Export Platform, strengthening of systemic cooperation and common view of support for regional SMEs in the process of their internationalisation. The Platform is designed as an integrated network of cooperation of key regional institutions. The Upper Silesian Agency for Entrepreneurship and Development Ltd. in Gliwice is one of promoters of this initiative.

During the meeting assumptions and initial workplan were explained by its Leader - Chamber of Commerce Exporters and Importers. Moreover, participants presented their involvement into the Platform as well as tasks of their institutions offered. Current SMEs’ needs and challenges were discussed and the best solutions were debated.

The establishment of Regional Export Platform is a part of Local Action Plan for the Region of Silesia by Upper Silesian Agency for Entrepreneurship and Development Ltd. within project COMPETE IN – Competitive territories through internationalization: Small and Medium-sized Enterprises’ competitiveness in globalised regions. The project is co-financed within Interreg Europe Programme, in the frame of European Regional Development Fund.
