The next meeting of the CRE:HUB project partners will take place on 5 and 6 September 2017 in Cēsis, Sigulda and Riga organized by University of Latvia.

The first part of the day of the study visit is dedicated to the medieval Hanseatic city of Cēsis, one of the oldest cities in Latvia rich of cultural and historical heritage. It is recognised as one of the creative cities in the country. Partners and stakeholders will have the occasion to visit the Cēsis castle complex, Vidzeme Concert Hall as well as the culture and creative industries centre (CCI) and CCI co-working space Skola6.

During the visit, partners will meet representatives of Cēsis Municipality, Cēsis History and Art Museum, Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences, Knowledge and Technology Centre, Vidzeme Planning Region and creative entrepreneur Autine Tools that will illustrate the role of creativity, culture, innovation and technology to promote and facilitate the creative industries and cultural heritage in the region.

Participants of the study visit will be involved in a BarCamp activity in order to learn how to solve challenges with design thinking method - a creative and collaborative approach to innovating and solving problems that puts people at the centre of the process. The BarCamp will be moderated by Signe Adamoviča, CEO of IdeAllies and Partner at Creativity Lab, and Charles Bušmanis, Co-Founder of Design Elevator.

The afternoon, group will spend in Sigulda city that has been called the "Switzerland of Vidzeme" to discover the Creative Quarter at the Sigulda Castle Complex and learn how the cultural heritage site can develop to a creative quarter.

On 6 September partners and stakeholders will conclude the study visit in Riga in the largest depository of professional art in Latvia and an important place in collecting, preserving and popularizing the cultural values in Latvia and foreign countries - the Latvian National Art Museum and workshop with representatives of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Latvia (Creative Industries Division) – supporter of the CCI policy instruments development; facilitator of business environment – Creative Industries Incubator of the Latvian Investment and Development Agency; Creative Partnership Programme for Culture Education – “RaPaPro”; Platform on the Creative Industries – FOLD.LV as well as Vividly – entrepreneur that combines creative minds and technological innovations.

Finally, Partners during the afternoon will discuss about reached results, ongoing activities and future commitments of the CRE:HUB Project.
