The 1st regional stakeholders meeting in Spain took place in Laias in Ourense Province on 20 June 2017.
The meeting gathered the stakeholders form Spain and Portugal. It was organized by INORDE (Partner 4) in cooperation with the Community of Montalegre (Partner 5). Both partners are addressing the same policy instrument: the Spain-Portugal Cross-Border Programme (POCTEP). The representative of the Spain Ministry of Finance, which is the Managing Authority of POCTEP, also took part in the meeting.
The President of Inorde Rosendo Fernandez opened the conference. After that the representative of Montalegre explained what is the role of the Municipality in the project and showed the example of a good practice, ECOMUSEUM. The manager of INORDE presented the main objectives of the project, explain why the POCTEP had been chosen as the policy instrument to be addressed.
Finally all participants were involved in a debate about development of the mountain areas.
