Cult-RInG advisory partner ECTN presented the project results at conference in Lucca, Toscana, Italy, on 'meetTourism Lucca - Cultural Routes and Toursist Destinations of Excellence', by invitation from the organisers 'Feisct - European Federation of Historical, Cultural and Tourist Itineraries' and the city of Lucca Tourism office 'Meet Tourism Lucca', which will took place from 28th February to 2nd March 2019 at Real Collegio Palace of Lucca.

At the Conference several cultural routes were presented, also in a related exhibition, such as 'The Phoenicians Route', 'Via Francigena', 'Spa Towns', etc. The session where ECTN presented the Cult-RInG project results was entitled:

'Europe as a tourist destination: what marketing strategy, what products, what technological development to promote tourism in Europe'.

The city of Lucca is placed in the heart of Tuscany and it is one of the most relevant Tuscan art city. Lucca is considered one of the most beautiful destination of excellence in Italy, full of artistic and historical attractions and crossroads of cultural routes, therefore is a perfect place to  promote sustainable and cultural tourism and to host Meet Tourism Lucca. The Meeting was an open showcase for the discovery and enhancement of the many cultural itineraries and destinations of excellence for a qualified, cultural, environmental, accessible and responsible tourism. Great relevance to Europe and to the world to offer opportunities for promotion, information, knowledge and exchange of ideas and best practices related to the varied tourism sector at international level. The event, sponsored by the Tuscany Region, the Ministry of Tourism, Federturismo Confindustria, the European Commission and the European Parliament, was organized in collaboration with: the Municipality of Lucca, Toscana Promozione Turistica, Campus Lucca Foundation, Prom PA Foundation, Tuscany Region and the Ministry of Tourism. Trenitalia, Plein Air and AgCult were also some media sponsors.

Throughout the tree days of the event, the meeting also hosted five thematic workshops dedicated to different topics such as: Digital tourism, experiential tourism, international tourism and destinations of excellence.
