Uldis Zariņš has formerly worked as a Director of Development and Head of Digital Library and Strategic Development at the National Library of Latvia and Head of Business Development at the Latvian national news agency LETA. He has also served as a member of board of Europeana Foundation, member of EBLIDA Executive Committee and President of Latvian Library Association. He has a Masters degree in Library and information science from the University of Latvia. His area of expertise is digitization of cultural heritage and digital cultural services, strategic and design thinking, cultural policy, impact assessment and copyright.
