As part of the second CYBER project meeting, the regional partners will visit Estonia's Innovation and Business Center Mektory, the NATO Cooperative Cyber Defence Centre of Excellence and the e-Estonia Showroom, where participants will meet local SMEs, including SpectX, CybExer, Cybernetica, Guardtime.
Besides discovering the Estonian cyber security ecosystem, regional partners will share the results and the main takeaways from the initial Local Cybersecurity stakeholders (LOCKS) meetings with regional stakeholders as part of their ongoing territorial analysis.
During the first semester of the project implementation, ending this November 2018, all partners have been working on the first identification of barriers at their local level. They have started to carry out a territorial analysis by mapping the key players of their ecosystem and their interaction according to a common taxonomy. In addition, they have launched the analysis to assess their regional cybersecurity innovation ecosystem with a focus on the 3 barriers: coordination between relevant actors, market fragmentation and lack of skills.
Project partners have also been working on the first bottleneck for the development of their competitive companies: the lack of coordination among the different actions. The meeting in Tallinn will be the opportunity to review the results of that analysis and to share success stories from their regional perspective. Finally, through an interactive exercise, partners will be introduced to the issues related to the market access issues, especially cyber security market, in Europe.
