On the 18th of October, the CYCLEWALK Partner EGTC GO held a meeting with its stakeholders to discuss about the previous study visits and prepare the ground for the next one in Gorizia, Nova Gorica and Šempeter-Vrtojba next year.
The participants also talked about the previous study visits in Amsterdam (the Netherlands) and Eisenstadt (Austria) sharing their opinions and discussing the Marketing Campaign developed by the Mobility Agency in Vienna.
The upcoming Awareness Raising Campaign was illustrated and some information about the next study visit in Gorizia and Nova Gorica were given.
A common understanding of a need for a wider social approach emerged: better education of Italian and Slovenian residents on social and environmental policies is needed. Furthermore, and up-down governance is seen as a key factor, as well as public policies, in order to change the behaviour of citizens. Finally, everybody agreed on the necessity to provide proper infrastructures and strategies to the people, to help them changing their habits more easily.
