The operation refers to the field of sustainable mobility with a link to the creation of innovative tourist packages. The operation involves the transfer of know-how practice, ie the system of renting city bikes, from Slovenia to Ireland, where this system does not yet exist. The Irish partner has a wealth of experience and good practices in the field of creating modern tourist packages in connection with sustainable mobility.
The Irish partners from Kilkenny was set up a cycling scheme in their local environment as a pilot project for the rest of Ireland and other similar environments. The introduction or upgrade of the city bicycle rental system was also take place in the area of Slovenian LAGs. The Municipality of Velenje, the Municipality of Kočevje, the Municipality of Ribnica, the Municipality of Ravne na Koroškem, the Municipality of Črna na Koroškem, the Municipality of Murska Sobota were only reward their existing bicycle rental system (connection with the countryside) through new stations, ordinary or electric, and new bicycles. While the municipality of Moravske Toplice, the municipality of Mežica and the municipality of Puconci were establish a new system.
Within the project “Sustainable Mobility and bicycle tourism” they created that local population have adopted sustainable mobility and have made greater use of the bicycle.

LAG Kilkenny
The operation involves the development of comprehensive cooperation by promoting cycling tourism in individual regions. Appropriate infrastructure has been developed for cycling needs - 6 cycling and footpaths located throughout the city.
Municipality of Velenje
Through the project, the Municipality of Velenje has set up two new Bicy stations, which are intended exclusively for electric bicycles.
Municipality of Ravne na Koroškem
They set up 2 new bike rental stations. The automated system for renting a city bicycle PICIKL is a service of the Municipality of Ravne na Koroškem, which provides free public access to bicycles on a self-service basis.
Municipality of Črna na Koroškem
In order to promote sustainable mobility and wheeled tourism in the place, it has set up three rental stations.
Municipality of Mežica
An automatic bicycle rental station is located in front of the municipal building in the center of Mežica. Four electric bicycles are available for rent to users.
Municipality of Kočevje
Automated systems for renting a city bike t.i. KOLU. The municipality of Kočevje has provided public access to bicycles on a self-service basis and includes a network of stops with connecting stands and bicycles.
Municipality of Ribnica
It offers rental of 8 classic bicycles at two stations in Ribnica.
Municipality of Moravske Toplice
"Soboški bicikl", which you can rent at 8 locations, where there are 26 city bikes and 16 electric bikes.
