To improve and increase the use of e-vehicles in urban area, Genoa Municipality realized:
- 6 Memorandum of Understanding with energy companies (ENEL-X; YessEnergy; EnerMia; IREN; Duferco Energia; AXPO)
- 107 e-charging stations for e-vehicles (58 available also for motorcycles and light duty vehicles)
- a “bonus” to buy e-bikes, e-motorcycles and e-scooters is available in 2020, with the scrapping of a traditional and old two-wheels vehicles. The incentives are available until the end of 2020. The amount of the bonus is 400€ per person and the total amount available is 500.000€ (fund by Genoa Municipality and Liguria Region)
With European fund by Elviten project (Horizon 2020) we have realized 4 HUB with a total of 84 e-charging station reserved to motorcycles and light duty vehicles The hub included also “bike-boxes” to recover e-bikes in charging (44).
E-charging is free until end of 2020.
The e-charging and the parking is possible with use of app D-Mobility, the app block the open and the close of the box and allows the e-charging. The hub are located in crucial points of the city center:
- near two main railway stations
- near the main streets of the shopping
- near to one of the main green park in city center
