Attendees of the stakeholder meeting discussed about different things in Liberec:
- The new cycle paths in Liberec are being developed, there are also enough plans to build others, the municipality has elaborate new projects, the bike sharing system has started, but something is still missing.
- Cyclists and drivers sometimes see a complicated traffic capacity of the city as a weakness. The merging connection could be a transport coordinator, a specialist who would have a comprehensive overview of the individual projects and actions. He would not only solve cycling, but conceptually also individual car transport.
- In the area of cyclo mobility, for example, he would have to assure that the new bike paths safely and logically connect, and to ensure that cyclists and motorists have a seamless and smooth passage. It should also coordinate construction work and closures so that the impact on traffic in the city is minimized.
