On Thursday 23 January 2020 near “PRINCIPE” metro station and railway station, a new area for electric charging dedicated to light vehicles (2-3 wheels) was created to increase the development of electric mobility providing innovative services and infrastructures to reducing traffic and pollution in urban areas.
The “Principe Hub” includes 12 recharging points for light e-vehicles as scooters, tricycles and quadricycles and 5 "Bipàro" : the bike-boxes for parking and recharging electric bicycles.
Other similar areas are already active: the “Brignole Hub” near the Genova Brignole railway station with 12 recharging points and 4 "Bipàro" and “De Ferrari Hub” in the city center with 24 recharging points and 10 "Bipàro". Cooming soon will be installed another Hub “Acquasola Hub” near the park of the same name in the city center with 12 recharging points and 4 "Bipàro".
The new hubs installed within Elviten European project financed by Horizon 2020 programme, are integrated with the economic incentives provided to promotion of purchase of light e-vehicles to decrease pollution in the city.
