During the visit to Cork, as well as participation in the various project management meetings, partners will have the opportunity to see the good practices in Destination Management that operate in County Cork.
The trip will focus on good practices which demonstrate a bottom-up approach, showing how communities, with the support of their local government, can work together to successfully realise the tourism potential of their locality.
An overview will be provided in relation to national initiatives and policy and how that sets the scene for more localised efforts. The role of the Local Authority will be outlined and the contribution it makes both in support and funding for more local initiatives.
Over the three days, the participants will get to explore all corners of Cork County, a geographically diverse county as well as get to meet key stakeholders who are driving these initiatives on the ground.
The event is dedicated to project partners. On invitation only.
