During the visit, in addition to project management meetings, the project partners will have the opportunity to explore the best practices in the management of tourism destinations of Vidzeme Region, as well as learn more about the national and regional policy instruments, designed to facilitate the competitiveness and export capacity of SMEs in tourism sector.
Vidzeme Planning Region will present initiatives where networking and collaboration adds competitive advantage for tourism destination management and tourism SMEs. Examples will include clustering initiative - Gauja National Park tourism cluster “Enter Gauja”, network of Valmiera City and surrounding area tourism destination and others. Project partners will have a chance to meet with local stakeholders, destination entrepreneurs and tourism strategy developers to share experiences and discuss possible transfers of good practices.
