Fomento de San Sebastian, as part of our DEVISE project, is running a workshop on ‘Digitalisation, a tool to improve the competitiveness of local retail and hospitality sectors', which will take place on 24th May 2019 in the Talent House building in San Sebastian. This session will present the conclusions reached on the basis of the questionnaires and working sessions carried out in recent weeks with companies from both sectors, as well as with representatives of digital service providers.
At this multi-sectoral event, there will be opportunity to discuss and analyse the steps that should be taken with these sectors to support the implementation of digitalisation processes. Expert guest speaker Vincente de los Ríos (Líderes y Digitales) will be taking part, reflecting on digitalisation as an opportunity, and on how to deal with it in business.
The day will begin with a presentation by Fomento de San Sebastian setting out its digitalisation strategy and the initiatives it is rolling out, along with the findings of the analysis conducted with companies from San Sebastián about the supply and demand of digital services, and a presentation of good practices around the digital transformation in strategic sectors.
The event will conclude with a round-table discussion and debate about the impact and repercussions of digitalisation on the retail and hospitality sectors, and the role of digital service providers.
The workshop is open to local companies in the retail and hospitality sectors, as well as digital service providers. The event will be held on 24th May in the Talent House building (Duque de Baena, 42), between 1 pm and 2:30 pm.
