On December 10, 2020, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry - Vratsa, organized and conducted 5th Peer Review, under the project "Dialogue for Innovation And LOcal Growth", funded by the Interreg Europe Program. Unfortunately, due to the situation and in connection with the preventive measures taken to limit the spread of Covid-19 coronavirus, the planned activities are implemented in an online environment through the zoom platform.
The fifth Peer Review was officially opened by Ms. Iliana Filipova, Executive Director of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry – Vratsa. The presenters, presented four good practices from Bulgaria in the field of social dialogue and entrepreneurship:
1. "Foundation KAUZI", represented by Ms. Srebrina Efremova-Veleva - Executive Director: a voluntary independent organization established as a non-profit legal entity. The purpose of the foundation is to work to create a model for creating a sustainable and interacting civic and business a society governed by active, competitive, responsible and decent people Examples of successful funding were presented: B4B HUB, CSR AdviceBox, MICC "Causes" and Entrepreneurship Exchange;
2. "Bulgarian Center for Non-Profit Law", represented by Ms. Pavleta Aleksieva - Program Director: Public Benefit Foundation, whose mission is to support the development and implementation of laws and policies to develop civil society, civic participation and good governance in Bulgaria. During the event were presented - Fund "Social Enterprises", Rescue Program: "SAVE the SAVIORS" and Recovery Program "LET's GO".
3. Project "Northwest", presented by Ms. Yana Rupeva - Founder and Director of the Foundation "Project Northwest": the foundation develops social entrepreneurship and sustainable services in support of the elderly, people with intellectual disabilities and people from vulnerable groups, local development capacity and dialogue with local authorities from Northwestern Bulgaria;
4. Association "New Road", represented by Ms. Spaska Mihaylova - Executive Director: a non-governmental organization operating in Northwestern Bulgaria, with significant experience, expertise and capacity to work with representatives of different ethnic minorities, different social groups, children and students. During the event, successful practices for building civil society, supporting social integration and personal realization of disadvantaged groups and ethnic minorities were presented.
The event was attended by 52 people: partners and stakeholders, from six different countries.
The importance of social dialogue was emphasized during the event, especially during the current COVID-19 emergency. All project partners actively involved stakeholders from their countries and stressed the importance of new ways of working to exchange ideas and good practices to ensure the involvement of stakeholders in the development of innovative tools.
