From 20 to 21 October 2021, the activities of the DigiBEST project online Peer Review continue - this time in Norway – Trøndelag.
Experts from Italy and Spain are participating in the Peer Review in order to find out about the current situation and policy documents in the field of digital transformation of SMEs in Trøndelag and, during interviews with Norwegian partner stakeholders, could prepare final a Peer Review Report. The recommendations of which will be used in future work to identify and include the activities of the Regional Business Digital Roadmap in the Action Plan. The peer review will be focused on the Regional Analysis for Trøndelag.
Italian and Spanish project partner will attend interviews together with Norwegian stakeholders and experts, as well as an advisory partner, who will provide support during the event.
Although Norway is attached to the European Union through the European Economic Area agreement, Norway has no access to EU structural funds, but has regional development funds, supporting businesses through Innovation Norway, R&D funds. Experts will provide proposals on the following issues:
• State of the digital transformation in Trøndelag in SMEs.
• What are the primary challenges, and how can Trøndelag County Council overcome them better?
• A comparison with other regions according to the DigiBEST Regional analysis or other sources, and good practices to implement.
• What kind of digital technologies should SME’s particularly master as a minimum in a near-future perspective?
• How do Trøndelag County Councils (regional level) strategies and practices fit within Governmental strategies (National level), Regional strategies (regional level, and EU Digital Agenda (European level).
• How should digital transformation be addressed in order to become a vital part in developing circular economy in Trøndelag region?
• Industry 4.0 Trøndelag project - strengths, weaknesses and the project as a tool for facilitating regional digital transformation in SMEs through regional Business gardens and Incubators and the R&D&I environment, and as a policy tool. How can it be developed further?
• Recommendations for new policy, policy tools and an action plan.
