Due to current traveling restrictions that are in place across Europe, DIGITAL REGIONS project partners from iisys (Hof University) have organised a virtual study visit for partners and stakeholders to showcase their local expertise and share some good practices.
During the morning, German partners will present their Start-Up ecosystem and MakerSpace for digitalisation, a new building block that is currently being created at Hof University of Applied Sciences. Part of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research's 'StartUpLab@FH' funding initiative, the building is a contact point for tinkerers, hobbyists and creative people. It is located on campus in the form of a 'MakerSpace' prototype workshop and a 'ThinkBox' creative space.
Apart from that, they will organise a virtual guided tour through Hof University’s Start-Up Center Einstein1. This Digital Start-Up Center is located on the campus of Hof University of Applied Sciences. It is the contact point for founders and start-ups from Upper Franconia and the Vogtland region. The focus lies in Big Data and its potential applications for industry as well as in the energy and healthcare sectors. Einstein1 provides many services for upcoming new Start-ups in the digital sector and proactively promotes networking opportunities with key players in business, science, education and politics through events and networking activities.
In the afternoon, attendees will have the opportunity to get a closer look at some research and transfer-projects. Among them, German partners will bring into the spotlight 'The Digital Production Workplace' good practice, already shared with the DIGITAL REGIONS partnership.
Stay tuned!
