The Regional Development Agency Centru organized in 29th July, an online meeting with the stakeholder group of E-MOB project. Together with representatives of the six county seat municipalities, public transport companies and institutions involved in the improvement or public transportation the following topic was debated: Public transport a pillar in the development of electric mobility.

Public transport is one of the pillars on which the development of electric mobility will be based. Public administrations have been pioneers of electric mobility and are increasingly involved in the implementation of e-mobility solutions. In this regard, the agenda of the meeting included presentations on the conclusions of the analysis on the state of art in the field of e-mobility in the Centru Region and the vision of local authorities regarding the development of electric mobility. The participants debated about issues related to mobility planning in the cities and municipalities of the region, current and future projects for the development of electric mobility, as well as issues that local authorities and transport companies in the region would like to discuss with electric mobility experts that will be brought by the E-MOB partners at the peer-review event in Romania.

In the second part of the event the discussion was focused to the aspects of financing for the development of e-mobility, being the most important element in the development of electric mobility, but also about taking over smart solutions in sustainable mobility management, as a whole. In this context, the currently available information on financing sustainable urban mobility in the 2021-2027 programming period was presented at the online meeting on 29th July.

The event ended with a general conclusion of all participants: In the next period, the Analysis of the situation of electric mobility at the level of the county seat municipalities, from Centru Region n will be improved, following that each municipality will contribute with information. The solutions and challenges analyzed concern both individual and public transport and refer to the policies and actions for the implementation of mobility solutions based on electric traction transport systems. The field of public transport includes public transport systems that are regulated under Law 92/2007 on public passenger transport services in administrative-territorial units as well as systems for sharing / short-term rental of individual transport vehicles (eg vehicles, bicycles, scooters / mopeds). Municipal vehicle fleets (other public utilities or general non-economic services) are also targeted. From the point of view of the regulations in the field of use and encouragement of investments in electric mobility systems, are addressed both the regulations aimed at preparing and implementing a public investment framework in such systems and those that encourage private initiative (legal or natural persons) in this field.
