As a result of an Eco-Cicle project activity (Focus Group), several agents and stakeholders coming from different Administrative bodies gathered together in Seville to deeply discuss about the link between the development of cycling activities and infrastructure and the operative programs of European financing.

The meeting was structured in two parts:

  •  The first one committed to offer information about the main objectives and methodologies for the next financing framework (21-27) and to discuss the difficulties encountered for the deployment of the current framework (14-21).
  • The second one dedicated to discussing the relationship between European financing and the development of cycletourism and cycling infrastructure and services. In this topic difficulties and lack of coordination between initiatives were identified as a main field of work and improvement in the future. As result an agreement was reached to create a technical roundtable to activate operational coordination regarding all the works and initiatives related to cycling.
