The ecoRIS3 consortium and local stakeholders from each region are looking forward to meeting together for the sharing of good practices relating to "Civil society in search of emancipation through tools and platforms" The group will be hosted by Vidzeme Planning Region in Valmiera, Latvia for the Good Practice Exchange Workshop 3 on 24th and 25th of April 2018.
Day 1 will see the consortium exchange good practices on citizens engagement with the public sector across the regions engaged in the ecoRIS3 project. The good practices being showcased will include: Donostia Innovation League (Spain); Cork City Public Participation Network - PPN (Ireland); Cork Dashboard (Ireland); The National Science Festival "Spacecraft Earth" (Lithuania); Roll out of micro computers for kids (Lithuania); Coworking space Skola6 (Latvia); Science centre Z(in)oo (Latvia) and Smart Kalasatama develops smart city together with citizens (Finland) among others from Italy and Portugal. Two study visits to Valmiera Development Agency and Valmiermuiža Culture Society will also take place on day 1 of the tour.
Day 2 of the event will see the consortium have an ecoRIS3 Project Management and Steering Committee meeting, this will be followed by study visits to Skola6; Z(in)oo and the Institute for Environmental Solutions.
