ACTION PLANS

The Action Plan is a document providing details on how the lessons learnt and exchange of experience from the interregional cooperation will be exploited in order to improve the regional policy instruments. The Action Plan specifies the nature of the actions to be implemented, their time frame, stakeholders involved, the costs and funding sources.

The ENHANCE EMAS Action Plans main objective is to improve the implementation of regional policy instruments oriented at increasing resource efficiency through EMAS. The actions included in the ENHANCE EMAS Action Plans aim at encouraging and motivating companies to implement the EMAS system as a tool to improve resources’ efficiency and systematically adopt good environmental practices.

EMAS is determined as an instrument with high capacity to lead to a process of continuous improvement in the environmental performance of organizations. EMAS is a competent tool capable of addressing changes in a lineal productive model towards a circular economy model.
