The Ministry of Environmental and Spatial Planning (Regional Government of Andalusia) has participated this week in Seville in the conference on energy efficiency and resources organized by the 'Policy Learning Platform' of the Interreg Europe program and which has involved the presentation of this initiative at European level. At the meeting, representatives of the structural funds programs and members of European projects related to the theme met.

During the breakout sessions about good practices on resource efficiency from Interreg Europe projects, the representatives of the projects participated by the Ministry in the framework of this program, SYMBI, ENHANCE and GPP4GROWTH, had the opportunity to present their good practices identified related to the efficiency of resources, as part of the actions developed, and discussed the different barriers found in the participating countries when promoting them.

The 'Policy Learning Platform' (http://www.interregeurope.eu/policylearning/) is a service launched by the Interreg Europe program for the partners of its projects and for other organizations involved. Its main objective is to promote learning and capitalize on good regional practices related to research, technological development and innovation, improving the competitiveness of small and medium enterprises, supporting the transition to a low carbon economy, protecting the environment and promoting resource efficiency. The platform consists of an international team of experts, specialized in the corresponding subject, who will organize activities and provide information and support to European regions to enhance planning and also to incorporate these improvements in their policies.
