On 19.11.2021, Bialystok Functional Area Association (BFA) organised a meeting in the framework of the EU CYCLE project.
The meeting reunited various stakeholders in order to discuss the emerging Action Plan for the Podlaskie Voivodeship on the development of cycling .
The meeting included as well discussions around the 2022 work plan and the translated publication of the Integrated Cycling Planning Guide.
The representative of the contractor of the Action Plan, Mr Piotr Kempisty from the Bicycle Association Białystok, presented the document and the details of the proposed actions.
The presentation was followed by a discussion, during which the participants emphasized the requirement to develop common regional guidelines/standards for cycling investments, as well as the need for a separate allocation within the European Funds for the Podlaskie Voivodeship for the implementation of cycling investments.
