Irma coordinates the tasks of the communication team, is responsible for the communication strategy and its implementation. In particular, she is responsible for public relations, partnerships and reporting.

Before joining the secretariat in May 2011, Irma was in charge of communication activities at the Latvia-Lithuania Cross Border Cooperation Programme for three years. She has also worked in a private sector where she gathered international experience in journalism, contemporary media and public relations.

Irma obtained a MA degree in Communication and Information from Vytautas Magnus University. During her studies she spent one semester at Dortmund University in Germany, where she focused on on-line journalism and multimedia studies.

She speaks Lithuanian, English, French, German, Latvian and Russian.
