COASTAL RESILIENCE

Thursday 25 November 2021, 14:30 - 15:00, GREEN 2

It is more than ever essential to strengthen the coastal resilience for population and vulnerable areas in view of climate change’s impacts. Communication, knowledge and expertise sharing regarding coastal risks (erosion, submersion, flooding) are necessary levers in order to strengthen the climate risks’ acceptance and the individual involvement of the exposed population. This issue can be tackled by fostering climate adaptation’ challenges sharing and social acceptance, and by supporting concerned population and stakeholders’ involvement thanks to fine-tuned strategies and communication tools.
