The new EU financial framework and the future of the INTERREG EUROPE Programme
The current multiannual financial framework of the European Union will be concluded at the end of this month and with it the operational programs of the European funding schemes will come to an end as well. The analysis of these policy instruments (the different funding schemes), is the main goal of the Interreg Europe projects. To proceed with the projects as planned, it is very important to identify and address new policy instruments which can be analysed.
The difficulty now is that the agreement on the new EU budget has not been reached yet and these circumstances make it quite possible that the new ERDF operational programs will not be ready by the 1st of January 2021.
The online workshop is intended to share views on the difficulties that this delay will cause and to discuss possible strategies to face them. Moreover, space will be dedicated to an overview on the future of the Interreg Europe Programme and to get information on the European Commission planning for the financial framework to come.
The workshop is addressed to the EU_SHAFE project’s partners and is open to colleagues from other Interreg Europe projects who face the same difficulties and that are interested to the workshop’s topics.
